Why the f...
Especially Internet Explorers seem to support style sheets rather poorly. A Windows XP SP1 Internet Explorer usually does the job, as well as my Mozilla 1.7 or Firefox 1.0 (whew, that was back in 2004, now (June 19 2008) it's a brandnew Firefox 3 of course :>). But then again, maybe I hacked my pages too much for Mozilla. I am not a web expert (although with every day hacking on this I feel like I am going to be one any time soon) and tried to use only W3C standards like XHTML and CSS (of course I know that using the latest and greatest standards means to properly display the pages you need one of the latest and greatest browsers--I suggest you give Mozilla/Firefox a try, even when you use Windows). Then again, the pages might even look crappy with a decent browser. But that should be a matter of taste, then :).
I have used W3C's validator and it tells me that my pages are XHTML 1.0 Strict compliant, so I could plaster my pages with their logos. I do it here, once and for all so that you know it's your creeping browser that sucks and not my pages :>. Honestly said, I only check them every couple of months (years?), so maybe meanwhile they are greasy, rotten HTML. Still need to find some automatic thing for that.
